Ben Strauss

Benjamin (Ben) Strauss is a partner in the Wilmington Delaware office of the international law firm McDermott Will & Emery.  He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance and securities, and specializes in Delaware corporate and alternative entity laws.  Mr. Strauss advises boards of directors, special committees and equity holders on fiduciary duties and other corporate governance matters related to Delaware entities, including in connection with conflict transactions and litigations.

Mr. Strauss frequently serves as special US and Delaware counsel for Israeli companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions and venture financing rounds, and he routinely renders legal opinions to clients worldwide with respect to matters under Delaware law.  He has lectured extensively to foreign lawyers and regulators on Delaware corporate and alternative entity laws.

Mr. Strauss is a past president of the Delaware State Bar Association and serves as its representative to the ABA House of Delegates. 

Mr. Strauss is a Council member of the IAC Philadelphia Region, and a member of the AJC Philadelphia, West Florida and Berlin Boards.

Mr. Strauss received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Widener University Delaware Law School, and holds an MBA and a BA in economics from the Bar-Ilan University in Israel.

Mr. Strauss is licensed to practice law in Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and in front of the US Supreme Court.
