Boaz Bismuth

Editor-in-Chief, Israel Hayom

Boaz Bismuth is the Editor-in-Chief of Israel Hayom, Israel's largest-circulation daily. Up until his appointment as chief editor in May 2017, he was the Foreign Affairs Editor and senior analyst at the paper, where he has worked consecutively since 2008. Mr. Bismuth served as Israel's Ambassador to the Arab country of Mauritania, from 2004 to 2008. From 1990 to 2004, he served as Paris correspondent for the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, where he specialized in war reporting and coverage from inside hostile Arab countries.

Mr. Bismuth was a member of the French Foreign Press Association and was part of the president's press entourage. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Bar-Ilan University, and in 1989 obtained a Master's degree in International Relations from the Sorbonne University in Paris. In 2004 he graduated with honors from the Center of Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (CEDS) in Paris.
