Aliza Kline

Founding Executive Director, OneTable

Aliza Kline is a dynamic leader, organizational consultant, and social entrepreneur.  In 2001, along with best-selling author, Anita Diamant, Aliza founded and became the first executive director of Mayyim Hayyim Living Waters Community Mikveh and Education Center in Newton, MA.  Mayyim Hayyim has become an international model for re-imagining Jewish ritual open to the full diversity of the Jewish community; it’s also been recognized as a “Standard Bearer” of innovation by Slingshot. In 2009, Aliza was awarded an Avi Chai Fellowship (best described as the “Jewish MacArthur Genius Grant”) for her leadership of Mayyim Hayyim.  Aliza consults to entrepreneurial women in Israel, New York and Boston.  With Advancing Women Professionals and the Jewish Community, she has overseen a national campaign to enlist Jewish organizations to adopt work-life policies that will advance women and men. She is also leading a “design thinking” process for The Jewish Education Project and UpStart Bay Area where she is prototyping new ways of leveraging resources across the Jewish community landscape. Aliza earned her Bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis and her Master’s in Public Administration from New York University.
